Role Purpose:
The Marketing & Communications team will create, deliver, and maintain communications and tools that effectively describe and promote the Southwest WICT Chapter’s Program, with the goal to enhance community & programming engagement. The Marketing & Communications team works cohesively with the inter-departments to produce materials that build and maintain WICT’s brand and support key recruitment and fundraising initiatives.

Role Responsibilities:
- Develops and oversees the marketing and communications plan to implement tactics professionally.
- Work with other units of the SW WICT Chapter to re-purpose existing communication assets to fit the WICT context.
- Assist in developing a strategy of re-imaging our communication style, content, and channel selection.
- Assist in the scoping of new and innovative ways that can deliver communications to our program and volunteer workforce.
- Tracks marketing efforts and monitor results.
- Assists in developing marketing materials.
- Organizes promotional events.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Experience working in or studying marketing, communications, and / or fundraising.
- Experience in delivering and executing campaigns across various channels would be highly regarded.
- Enthusiastic and eager to work within a dynamic team.
- Creative, inventive, and not afraid to think outside of the box.
- At ease working independently or as part of a team to share the workload.

Mentors provide guidance, advice, feedback, and support to the mentee, serving variously as role model, teacher, counselor, advisor, sponsor, advocate, and ally, depending on the specific goals and objectives negotiated with the mentee.

- Experience in facilitation of group information sessions.

The WICT Network: Southwest is excited for the continued opportunity for members and friends to come together for a greater cause. In a time when so many of the elderly population in our communities are feeling alone, scared, or sad from the events that have occurred in 2020, we want to offer the opportunity to give them something else to focus on. In conjunction with volunteer options available through Cox Communications, Southwest Region, we offer the opportunity for folks to write encouraging, impactful notes or letters to our elderly. The intent is to share something positive, kind and uplifting to show that despite all that's going on, it's ok to keep our faith in humanity.

Las Vegas

Connect with seniors at the Nevada Hand Annabelle Pines senior community located in the heart of Henderson, Nevada by writing a letter to their residents. Nevada HAND improves the lives of low-income seniors and working families by providing affordable housing solutions and supportive services. Having a stable, affordable home is critical to every aspect of an individual, the overall health of the community and economic opportunity.

Phoenix

Meet Silvercrest Senior-living facility in Mesa which has 42 residents including caregivers and maintenance staff. Veterans have also been impacted by Covid-19, and like so many others, have lost some of their regular connections. Can you send a letter or card to a veteran in Phoenix? MANA (Marines, Army, Navy, Airforce) House is a peer-support organization of homeless and formerly homeless veterans. Mana House helps support veterans rebuilding their lives by providing support from their staff and partners. Send you card of thanks, share uplifting stories, talk about your own military service, or just send a note to say hello. Consider including drawings from children in your family or even offering your own information in case they want to write back.

Connect with seniors at St. Luke's Home in Tucson, Arizona by writing a letter to their residents. Please direct your letter to a resident from the linked below. Once you’ve selected the resident, please placing a mark by their name on the Google Form. This will help ensure that more residents receive a letter.
