Monica Cole Evans

Monica Cole Evans is a highly experienced leader with over 19 years of telecommunications industry experience.  As a Senior Manager, currently working for Cox Communications since 2005, the company provides leading-edge technology solutions and products for business and residential customers.  Monica leads a team of exempt professional Program Managers spanning across the enterprise within the Engineering Management Office of Technology.  Monica is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to the Network Core Engineering Programs. Driving all aspects of engineering programs, including change and release management, collaborating, and coordinating across all functional disciplines, and the visibility of overall program performance.

Monica started her career at Cox in the role of Project Engineer and quickly moved into a leadership role supporting the Video and MTC Technical Engineering and Operations organization.  Prior to her employment with Cox, Monica spent 10 years employed with Maricopa County Superior Court and Juvenile Probation Department.

Monica holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration, the Global Credential as a certified Project Management Professional and is a current member of the Project Management Institute.  She has also earned the Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management.  Monica has been an active member of The WICT Network since 2011 and has served on the board as Membership Co-Chair from 2016-2018, Chapter Vice President from 2018 – 2020, Chapter President from 2020 – 2023, Chapter President Emeritus from 2024 – 2025, and is currently an acting Chapter Advisor.

Monica is married and the proud stepparent of two successful young adults.  During her personal time, Monica enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends.
